I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. after having passed a stringent written examination in the subject matter of Psychiatry and Neurology. As well, oral examination with actual patients under the scrutiny of experts in the field. I have 23 years of experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults; inpatient and outpatient. I am trained and familiar with various modalities of psychotherapy; however, I am not currently a primary therapist as I coordinate care. I provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for treatment-resistant depression which can be life-changing for resistant depression.
My practice orientation is Neuropsychiatry. The brain and mind are inseperable. I most often explain to patients the analogy of disorders of the brain and mind to hardware and software. The brain being the hardware which enables the mind to process. The mind being the software which is the collective and unique experience (programming) of each individual.
I attempt to fully enlist every person under my care so that they take ownership of their treatment in an active manner. My patients are encouraged to ask questions and to understand how we arrived at our diagnostic impressions and why we will proceed in the manner that is best suited for an optimal outcome. Psychoeducation is essential in patient care.

I am a dedicated and dependable advanced practice psychiatric nurse practitioner with years of experience in assessments, screenings, medication management, brief psychotherapy and follow-up. I incorporate the latest technology and evidence-based research to help patients build on their overall quality of life by addressing their mental health needs.

During her years as a Registered nurse, she worked at Wellstar’s Kennestone hospital in critical care. She transitioned into a leadership role of an acute care floor. Diana has worked for over 8 years in healthcare with much exposure to mental health illnesses such as anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
